Volunteer

We welcome volunteers of all ages at Treasure Coast Wildlife Center. As a 501(c)3 non-profit we would not be able to continue the life-saving work for our community's wildlife without your help! The combined knowledge and experience of our staff is enormous as part of your volunteer experience we will be pleased to share that knowledge, and teach you about wildlife and its care. In return, we expect to integrate your skills, work, and dedication into the furtherance of Treasure Coast Wildlife Hospital's mission to help rehabilitate and return as many wild animals to their natural habitat. Together, we can make south Florida a better place for both people and animals to live. Help us to help them remain wild and free!

Interviews are required and we ask that you can make at least a 6 month commitment.

Ways you can make a difference with us include:

  • Cleaning cages

  • Feeding patients

  • Transporting wildlife to our hospital

  • Helping out with public education events

  • Office work i.e filing, record keeping, correspondence

  • Fundraising

  • Yard maintenance around our hospital and on our nature trails

  • Construction

  • Offering your professional services

To Volunteer with us please call our office at 772-286-6200 to set up an interview and discuss what volunteer position would be best for you!

Intern

Interested in a wildlife career? We welcome college students, and post-graduates of no more than four years to apply for our three month internships. Interns at Treasure Coast Wildlife will work with a variety of different orphaned, sick, or injured wildlife. This internship offers a large amount of direct animal contact with opportunities to feed, clean, and care for our animals, with a capstone project, and opportunity to learn non-profit management. Interns in the past have found TCWC to be one of their most rewarding college experiences - truly preparing them for jobs in the field. To apply for a position with us please email susannash@tcwild.org with memo line "TCWC Internship" with your resume, a brief description of your career goals, and what months you are available.
